I did this drawing about a year or two ago, on one of my landscape binges *chuckle*. I wanted to color it in, but colored pencils are not very scanner-friendly -- so I just scanned it in and then colored it in Photoshop. This was also my first attempt at a watercolorish effect -- and while I'm not thrilled, it's okay.
The first in a series of two Prisca-cat images that I whipped up over one of my breaks. I think it was Christmas break. I'm not sure. Yet another painful reminder that colored pencils and scanners don't get along. *SIGH*
Second in aforementioned series. Heh, not that 2 of anything is much of a series...
COLOR VERSIONThis is what happens when I listen to my compulsions to draw at 2 AM. Suffice to say, yes, I am influenced by the shoujo style -- more delicate and refined, or so I think. o_^ The second in my Photoshop-as-watercolor series. And now that I have actual watercolors, there may not be more of them, or at least not as many...
A drawing I did some time ago, and it's actually tied into POCKET and its sister story (which has yet to be finished -- D'OH!) It's from the time before when "Calli" got dragged into a POCKET, and became a dragonslayer by circumstance (and fire extinguisher, but you didn't hear that from me ^_^)
The original drawing was done -years- ago. Eighth or ninth grade, I think. On lined paper, no less. But I tinkered with it in Photoshop...and I have to say, this actually took me all of 30 seconds or so to do. As the file name indicates, I made this using the paper cut-out filter. Looked too spiffy not to save :)
This is what happens when I get bored at a tutoring session (that is to say, I was the tutor ^^;) Actually, I finished it up back at my room, and then scanned it in. There was also a picture of a lady to go with it -- although I scanned that in too, I clipped out the phoenix to put up. And yes, the banner is a watercolorized section of this pic.
An actual watercolor! Unfortunately, too big to be scanned in, so I scanned it in 4 parts -- and a segment in the middle ended up missing. Oops. At any rate, this took me about 2 hours to do (over the course of 2 days, though, since this was done in a school art class).
First attempt at watercoloring, and unfortunately the subtlety didn't come through very well. Scanners do not seem to like colors very much, aside from photographs...well, that and it is a faint picture to begin with.

The next batch of pictures are inspired by the roleplaying campaign I'm in. Pictures of various characters, especially mine (of course ;) And one of these days I'm gonna come up with a picture of Christopher and Sidera kissing that I'm happy with. Really, I will!....quit looking at me like that! (oh yeah, and in the meantime there's the matter of trying to do a group pic and the whole SD alternate universe comic thing that's gonna go up here.....eek, I'm rambling again.)
Be warned. You are now entering the Sidera zone. *demented chuckle* During the whole mess with the scanner and computer, I did a little bit of Photoshop art. (But it hurts....owie my poor wrist ^^;) This is Sidera, my RP character. She's 17, a rogue (do -NOT- confuse that with a common thief ^_o) and a bard, and married. *chuckle* And I've sent in a request to join Elfwood so I can put up her story -- it's a tearjerker, to warn ya ^^; Definitely not a common thief...okay, enough rambling ^_^
Embossed Version
Neon Version (Spiffy!)
Next in the Sidera series, and a bit by accident. This started from a doodle in Latin prose composition, a nice neat little floral design. And I'm normally not one for floral designs, either. Go figure. Anyway, due to that, you'll be able to tell that this still has the telltalle lines of notebook paper....I tried to remove them, really I did. Then I started playing around with filters....and the Neon version managed to not only remove all the lines, but I think it makes for a really spiffy desktop wallpaper. ^_^
What the filename says. A portrait from the collar or so upward.
Actually, this drawing is back to a time that will eventually be explained in Sid's backstory. Not a happy time, either...in fact, right before she ran away to the streets to avoid....er, I'm not gonna spoil it ;)
Paine. Well, the first go at a sketch of him. Granted, the guy's 25, and he comes off looking...well, definitely not more than 20. And....well, drawing him bishounen-style (pretty boy, for those not in the know ^_o) was kinda intentional, aside from the fact that I was drawing this at 2:30 in the morning by the light of the lampposts outside my dorm while my roomie was sleeping.
